STOPALLWARS.COM
We are the Committee for Peace and Human Rights, Boston. We have been holding weekly vigils/speakouts since 1998 against US militarism and social injustice, every Sat. 1--2pm outside Park St. station , Boston. We opposed the US war against Iraq and now oppose the US occupation,as well as opposing any new US wars against other nations such as Iran, Syria, and N. Korea. We feel that war is just another form of terrorism. If we are supposed to be safer now that Afghanistan and Iraq have been destroyed by the US--why is the terror alert in the US still at a high level? Also, after all this time, no weapons of mass destruction have been found in Iraq--so Bush's grounds for his war have been proven false.
President Obama has not kept his campaign promise of ending the wars-in fact, he has expanded the US war in Afghanistan and into Pakistan---we must demand that he ends all US military actions NOW.
If you want more info on the anti-war movement, go to our web site--stopallwars.com or other sites are http://www.unitedforpeace.org and http://www.internationalANSWER.org
A new organization has formed of U.S. military who have recently returned from the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan and who now oppose the wars--it's called Iraq Veterans Against the War. Their web site is http://www.ivaw.org/
Please feel free to join us any saturday on Boston Common near Park St. subway station from 1pm-2pm. Our e-mail is nosanctions@yahoo.com

"When the government fears the people, there is liberty; When the people fear the government, there is tyranny."--Thomas Jefferson
"Cowardice asks the question: is it safe? Expediency asks the question: is it politic?
Vanity asks the question: is it popular? But conscience asks the question: is it right?
And there comes a time when one must take a positionthat is neither safe, nor politic, nor popular-but one must take it simply because it is right"
